Sarvepalli D. Jokhai wanted to be a physician since he was very young.  “I am not sure what triggered the desire,” he said.  “However, I made the decision a long time ago and stuck with it.”

Influenced by his parents for always pushing him to his limits, Dr. Jokhai attended City University of New York in 1989, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology.

Then it was on to receive a degree in podiatric medicine from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine, where he graduated with honors and later participated in clinical research on a national level.

After graduation, he completed a residency in podiatric surgery at the Decatur Hospital in Atlanta.  Now, he is the premier podiatric surgeon in Middle Georgia, and renowned throughout the nation.

In addition to serving Perry and the Middle Georgia community, Dr. Jokhai has participated in medical health fairs and charity drives for the needy.  Through his community involvement, Dr. Jokhai has found that the most rewarding aspect of his career is simply “being able to help patients, especially the underserved.”

Dr. Jokhai founded Peach State Surgery Centers in 2005.  Peach State Surgery Center, under his direction, has received national reorganization and is certified by the national accreditation organization, AAAHC.
